I will never touch any ChickenSys Software anymore, their Roland MV8000 Translator Edition never worked correctly for most people.

If you can save patches with CDExtract as Plain text such as xml it should be even easy to convert them to the ren format :)

I think it exports sfz ? no ?

Almost nobody supports OS X with these companies though :/

I'd be happy if Sampleit supported it. I just like that program compared to the others, something about it's simplicity and the little tape deck gui

Macs run Windows like a champion on a proper non vm install. I honestly think a lot Mac users are crazy to not just get a copy of Windows and have access to all software on the planet.

Both OS's on one Mac well maintained...26 seconds from a cold start to get to the Windows desktop as the target drive, just over one minute to cold start into OS X, and less than that to switch to OS X from Windows.

This is with the same WD black 7200RPM drives that are standard on Macs.

Try to access the MIDI and Audio Hardware of the host Mac when using a VM.

I just tried it today with Crossover and Parallels.

Both failed here o0n the MIDI I/O

Yeah of course, that's why I stressed non vm true installation.

You can't copy paste files and have both OS's up at the same time, but you win in like 1000 others ways. I've been running both OS's for years, it's heaven. I use Windows for most sample editing stuff with the wider range of apps available and also to avoid all the hidden file business on OS X that MPC's just hate.

When it's time to use Numerology, Drum Spillage or Logic I switch OS's. If it's something like Ableton, I might forget what OS I'm even on until I look at the toolbar or right click menus. Performance is 1:1 on dual format stuff, as it should be it's the same hardware.

I would never use a vm other than to test an app or run AkSys personally.

when i first got mine in october 2012, it crashed so many times that i'm in the habit of saving every time i do something new that i plan on keeping, effect, track add, etc.. i save so much that i'm on a saving mission like a pack of jehovah witnesses.. i suggested they do an auto save.. 1.4 has auto save.. choices are every 5 min and every 10 minutes if i recall correctly. i just save manually anyway.

I prefer saving manually, just in case something goes haywire (or user error) and I end up having the last saved version be the corrupted copy. I always do "save as" and increment a number so if "insert song name 11" ends up messed up I can go back to "insert song name 10."

That way you can get sure that it is not doing something else while saving :)

I stay away from the undo big time. I hit it and it erased some **** from last week

Lol !!!

That undo button gonna be the death of me. Gotta learn to leave it alone.

Come on Akai, can you please fix this unreliable undo button?
