Should I buy an MPC 4000?

I was looking into buy an mpc 2500 with jj osxl. Then I read the 4000 has a similar stock OS. Also, it has mute groups, so you can have each pad choke each other off (not being limited to only 2 pads like the 2000xl.) Also it has 960ppq for the sequencer. Which is a better option? I work in front of a computer all day so when I get home I dont want to be looking at ableton or maschine. Any advice on this would be appreciated. Thanks!

Depends do you want a classic exotic car with wonderful features, well built and has stood the test of time.

Or do want a customized car that keeps getting add ons but takes away something each time you trick it out differently.

4k is a Lambo, JJ OS (1k/2500) is a Scion.

That's not to knocking JJ OS since I am a 3 time owner, but I also have a 4k and I know what gets used more often.

Just remember if you go with a 2500 put the free JJ on it first, test the unit out for functionality and to see if you like it before you buy JJ.

Otherwise you will lose you investment if the unit has issues or you don't like it.
