yeah i hear ya^^^^^^

i just wanted to say, im not hatin on anybody...Ya probably dont give a shit, but im gonna speak. i respect everybody, even if i dont neccessarily agree with them. I also realize that im not in a position to judge, nobody is. Yeah, you can apply your opinions on dudes, and you have the right to do that, so there is no debate there, and i luv hearing everybodies opinions. But sometimes people say "stupid" things because they judge the book by the cover; this happens all the time, and i do it too.

I guess my point is, ya gotta repsect people, if not for them, but for yourself-because youll learn from it, and make yourself stronger. Think about if we didnt repsect and appreciate country music, or classical music, or rock and roll-just because we are into hiphop.........**** do you know how many tight samples are from those genres, even though i dont like country music, i still repsect it because it can still inspire me, or give me something outa the sitionation.

keep the breakfast in bed, i'd rather spend my morning diggin through some records instead.

There's mounds of mc's out there that have lyrics but most of them cant buy a deal. If you're a ni99a you gotta be on some carbon copy punchline sh1t, club banger sh1t, or some joint for the ladies sh1t. But then they wanna praise Em for his varied subject matter like all ni99as can rap about is money, clothes, hoes etc. Tell Jimmy Iovine to sign somebody and not force they hand to make that radio single and let them "do them". Even Dre tried to make the God Rakim "bring the guns out". Neverless none would sell as much as Em but we would get to see mc's who have more to rhyme about then what gets played on the radio. Plus most of Em's fans aren't even hiphop fans, he get's no play in the hood unless he featured on a joint w/ someone else. NOBODY I know owns an Eminem album.

I mightve went overboard as far as him being trash but everything else I wrote is valid. And I find it appalling for you to use that racism line in terms of Em. Thats some straight bullsh1t. Who benefits more from race in hiphop then Eminem?!!(read the above again) You cant be serious!! It's funny to me how you white boys get your panties in a bunch over Eminem. Like he's above being criticized or everybody GOTTA feel him. He's had some decent verses...renegade and dead wrong come to mind but other than that most ni99as that come from the essence(the streets) of which this hiphop thing started do NOT feel him like that..Read the Ghostface article in the Vibe he's one of these ni99as as well and one of the few who have the balls to say it. Most hated in the game? He's lucky these house bred negroes in the industry still allow him to eat off a black art form after those tapes were released I dont give a fuk how long ago they were( and I dont believe he was 16) he was still using a black artform to spewl racist comments ABOUT blacks. So fuk Eminem, you and the burbs, TRL crowd can have him. I got NAS, Wu, Black Moon, Beans, Jay, and plenty other CD's to listen too.

50's first album sold more than Em's did.

I agree with most of the stuff you're sayin, I ain't never bought a Em cd, he don't get much rotation in the hood. That don't really concern me though, if I knew him personaly I wouldnt't be tryin' to hang out wit him, he's a clown. BUT, his flow and talent is undeniable.

50's ASSOCIATION with Em helped him sell most of those records. No way he wouldve went diamond on def jam.

tru, but em's association with dre is the reason hes where hes at... if it wasnt for dre em would never be where hes at...em got skills but its obvious that almost half of his record sales came from the fact hes white, and the ohter half was because he is with dre

Yeah.....Eminem has(d) original wordplay...similar to pun with the multisyllable raps.....but he has a bad voice, weak concepts, and his beats are so so.......mosh was a good song though.....

By delnegro Tue Dec 07, 2004 8:10 pm
I'd say more like a quarter of his initial sales were on the strength of Dre but not any more. More than anything Dre "co-signing" him just gave him credibility but peep the image he came out with in comparison to now, he was on some cariciture(sp?) crazy whiteboy, slim shady shit...Even with Dre co-signing he wouldnt have been able to come out on some "I am what I say I am" angry white boy shit..ni99as wouldnt have accepted and it wouldve killed his cred if we aint give him a pass. I'd bet my MP that most of Em's fans dont own a Dre record and if they do it's 2001 which featured Em and came out after he was signed. And also to correct coocoo 50's SECOND album sold more than Em not his first homie.

i dont agree, cuz everytime they announced eminem when he first came out they couldnt do it without mentioning dres name... dre has a big impact on why he became so popular and why he is still popular IMO

By delnegro Tue Dec 07, 2004 8:20 pm
I didnt disagree...I said INITIALLY..meaning when he first came out. So what exactly are you disagreeing about?

i am disagreeing with the quarter of his sales thing and saying that about half of his sales were because of dre..

i agree..

By delnegro Tue Dec 07, 2004 8:31 pm
Whatever man..MAYBE when his first album came out but I dont think Dre fans accounted for half them sales cause once Dre gave him credibility he was on MTV getting heavy rotation almost unheard of for a new artist and immediately became MTV's poster boy. I think Nsync, Aguilera and Britney Spears fans accounted for most of those sales more than Dre fans.

lol... ur right about that... all those britney spears and nsync fans were like... "oh cool a white rapper, im goin to get his album" so i do agree, the trl species did have a part in his sales as well
