so i mentioned this when ren first came out. not much mentioned since. my problem is the lpf gives a pop sound at end of sample when filtering a sample for bass use. has anyone found a fix. airyc? you seem to use the key groups allot. I'm trying to make a bass program. and this click is killing me.

ive never experienced this - but i also only use it in regular drum pgms, not keygroups.. you sure its just the filter and not the amp envelope? you messed with that stuff too?

Got the click at the end as well. Tested a few settings on the Flt Env page but still always clicking.

What helped a bit was to go to Sample Edit and apply linear fade outs:
1. from the secondlast zeropoint until the end and
2. from the last zeropoint until the end

This way I got it clickfree from note c2 up, only on pad a15 the click it still there...

Edit: just thought about it, this of course doesn't work if you want to play longer notes with the program.

I'll check out what you did in a bit Elmer thx. If you take that mpc filter off and put one of your vst filters on there is no click. So my assumption is it the mpc filter. Even trying the 2-8 pole low pass on there same result. I'd like to not use a vst filter.

You have a lot of memory at your disposal take advantage of it.
I never use short loops for anything since there's no real reason to.
It allows easier manipulation of velocity and envelopes, as well as avoiding problems like this.

I bet he means that the sample is quite short. I bet this problem has something to do with Ren's filters combined with the envelope. I tried your program quickly this morning and messed with the envelopes. As your sample is quite short, the envelopes do not "kick in" as they didn't with drum programs before AD-envelope...

I see..... Suggestions?

The problem is that the resulting waveform apparently doesn't end in a zero, you'll see that if you resample. Plug-ins mostly are programmed to circumvent this by fades of 5 ms or something, but using it digitally like this might require you to soften the end of the sample as one of the previous members stated.

This has nothing to do with bad coding or weird envelopes.

Hope that helped.

The original sample might be at zero while the resulting waveform might not be. Depends on the algorithm. :(
