Hi,

Looking for a legit set of MPC60 OS 3.10 chips in the UK, anyone know of somewhere I could try or do you have an extra set? I've no problem paying Roger Linn Design for the OS but their flat $40 international shipping fee for a few chips is pretty painful so thought I'd ask on here first...

Also (as a Plan B) is Akai OS 2.14 (the SCSI one) freely available to copy/distribute like the floppy-based operating systems are?

Thanks!

$40 is only £23-24 at todays rates.

For postage and packing from across the Atlantic ocean, that is hardly painful. What is the difference between Roger's price and what you think is acceptable?

Jazzcat hasn't got any for sale, he was at mine on Sunday. He does have pretty much every other MPC60 (Mk1) part you could think of at the moment including screen, side panels, PCB's etc.

You could always get a friend/member in the US to get the chips and send them to you, but is it really worth the extra hassle just to save a few pounds?

I assume Roger includes customer support, insurance and uses a reliable courier service to ensure customer satisfaction. As with most things in life, you get what you pay for. You cant put a price on peace of mind, and Roger will help you personally if there are any issues.

Don't go cheap on it because you will end up spending more time trying to fix the issue than saving a few squid on the postage. Get it directly from Roger Linn
