basic information about mpc

Guys!
Am DAW user for years, but now try to shutdown my laptop and work more often on hardware. Dont get me wrong, I have read and still readin this "beatmckng on mpc 1000" and users manual, addition to this watch tons of tutorials.
But stuck at stupid things!

Please, give me explanation like for little six year kid.
If get a parallel between DAW workflow and mpc 1000 with jj os 4.99:
sequence - is whole project, all shit with tracks and samples.
track - is same tracks in cubase for example, when we put samples on.
and programs? what the fuk is it?

PROGRAM = a container for a set of samples and Parameters

SEQUENCE = a segment. a container for a set of tracks and associated MIDI information where you record your programming performance . You can chain these together to create a SONG.

TRACK = where you program sequencer data either in the form of straight MIDI or triggering your internal samples. However, unlike a daw, you can write all the data/events on one single track if you wish to. Separate tracks just makes it easier to understand what you programmed and makes it easier to use more than one Program.

a program is a set of sounds. you can have more than 1 per project.

so you could have all your bass noes on a program,

all your drums on another program, and all your main samples melodies on another program.

when switching to difrfferent tracks, you choose which program the mpc is gonna select the sounds from

so track 1, i usually have my main melody chops,

track 2 i change to drums and lay my snare down

track 3 i also put to drums program and lay my kick

track 4, drums, put my hihats,

track 5, bass program,

ect ect.

a sequence is the main thing that umbrellas the tracks, so a sequence can have up to 99 tracks, and each track has a different sound on it. so you can erase a mistake without erasing all the things on the other tracks. thats why you put each separate instrument on a different track.

for example, if you put all your durms, kick, snare, hihat, on 1 track, then you want to erase just the snare, it will be harder to erase it without erasing your kick and hihat too.

you can just clikc record +playstart, or it will erase everytthing it goes over. but if you have each of those on a seprate track, you can push record+playstart and it will only erase your snare drum and you can record your new one again without worrying about having your other sounds erased.

this also works well for mixing, each track can be saved as a separate audio file so you can mix it in cubase later.
