Everyday you learn something new with the 4000

i dig it yeah. i have a korg wavestation and oasys, i just wanted to hear more of what you were doing with the concept in the 4000.

I work with alot of software these days logic and ableton live. But no matter what new techniques I learn with ableton sampler or logic`s ultrabeat I discover I can translate some of it to the 4k using mod matrix. I`m still learn new steps on the 4k too by stepping outside the box.

Velocity in 16 levels mode only works when the mod matix is routed.

I think it also effects the velocity response elsewhere.

In the mod matrix routing tilt velo>amp allows you to control the velocity responsiveness with the depth amount.

Also tilt allows velocity to get softer as you hit when you layer two key group programs together like piano program and a string program so when you hit the keys hard the piano come out and when you play softly the strings comes through.

Usually you want to set velocity>amp for normal settings. Tilt velocity is very useful when you set main page Part to Int-A and layer two or more programs to the same internal midi channel. Then you can go inside the mod matrix and change the settings of the various mod matrixes per program.

Thanks, I was looking for that. I think tried that though. The 16 levels wouldnt respond Lemme check again.

It doesnt respond to 16 levels mode when velocity is routed to amplitude. You have to change it to tilt velo>>>ampltude.

My default mod matrix settings for drums are no routing except the above. +017
