Well that's nice to read... I thought like maybe they want to release it to fast, software/firmware wise....(as they "kinda" did with the ren, and I believe mpc5000 users wait, for O.S 3 for how long?)although if they release it too fast with a lot of features missing, the learning curve is faster.... I'm not an expert on programming and stuff, as you obviously are :worthy:
that lowers my noobie nervousness quite a bit... Thanks
would they let you beta test it? Or u didn't ask to volunteer?

Thanks. As much as I'd love to try out the final product, I'm not the right guy to beta test something like that. They'd want someone from the target audience to do it.

I have no idea what their development cycle for the software will be like. But, like I said, the people I met seemed like real stand-up folks who believe in their products.

It will most likely be a version of the existing MPC Software, optimised for the built-in screen, and similar controller firmware.

It's not like they are going to have to start anything from scratch, as in previous MPCs, most of the work is already done.

Hey guys,

Havent really made any posts on here. But I noticed a similiarity between my Microsoft surface GUI and the new iMPC GUI that akai has posted pictures of on twitter. I am only guessing but, I feel like they are putting the rough draft ideas onto the impc, and then as they build them up they are what is going to be in the next generation of mpc? Thoughts? Anyone else notice the similarities?

If they name it the MPC 6000 it needs to surpass the feature set of their previous flagships, or at least bring something fresh to the table that wouldn't be possible on hardware MPCs.

Name Will probably be something like the mpc revolution or mpc revolt mpc ultra or mpc octane or mpc ultimate mpc gulfstream or something...but I'd like to see some sort of explanation, briefing if u will, from the akai team itself, what's the deal with this concept? I mean its out there??? Was showed??Etc. No moaning just pure interest...and sum Intel on the obvious questions

pete tweeted this a few hours ago: https://twitter.com/petegoodliffe/statu ... 8358395904

"Today we welcome Lukasz to the team of excellent MPC developers. Be kind to him, he's going to work on some exciting stuff!"

so they're clearly dedicated to providing future updates to MPC software. Work on a new standalone mpc is good news for everyone. More hires working on polishing the software for a new product launch.
