Tweakheads is just a name for somebody that likes to get it right on their own terms! Not somebody that expects somebody else to do the job for them.

Tweakheads love gear and the more complicated it is the better.

Just got my maschine ,9 days later ,started missing the ren lol
Installing the software now

What's thin sounding about the kronos?
I have both J80 and K61 and they both sound great to me. The difference to me is that the Kronos sounds great from get go and the J80 has to be tweeked.

I agree, I have a Kurzweil PC3 and a Kronos X 88. I dont call it thin at all. To me I say more of a hi fi sheen to it. Crystal clear, you either love the Korg sound or you hate it. But Kurz and Korg make a perfect combo to me. I know its not a fair comparison but I had a Roland FA and while it had some nice sounds the Kurzweil and Korg soundwise were on a different level. I think the JP engine is suppose to have more supernatural sounds but if its any similarity between the FA is close to the JP, I prefer the Kurzweil and Korg when I had them all side by side.

I'm sure every synth has it own signature. Im from the triton days and love the triton sequence workflow, but you're mistaken on the sounds. It all depends how you work them. Korg combi's are a monster if used right, plus the ability to tweak every sound to oblivion can't be beat if you ask me.
