Most people don't see the big picture in all of these request.

1. Who owns this technology you want as a feature? In other words, is there a patent involved!

2. If you see it in another application then it probably belongs to them. I doubt if they are going to sell the rights to use this technology while its still profitable and if they do....its going to cost $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.00 to use. Akai aint that stupid I guess.

3. Patent trolls are watching and waiting for their technology ideas to surface somewhere...even if has never been implemented by them. And when it does...somebody gonna get sued or they gotta pay out big time.

So good luck with your request... Just don't bind up the programmers with useless request which keeps this application from become stable due to constant changes which break other features.

:worthy:

Not to mention making the MPC stray too far from what it's meant to be. Yes, it should be able to do a lot of newer shit than older models, but it cannot do every **** thing every other app does. Who would even want that?! Too many people who've never even put a record out complaining about what the product can't do. People have been, and still are, making PROFESSIONAL music on MPC 60's and ASR 10's for years. Here comes a Ren that can't do everything ableton or pro tools does but can do 100x more things than any previous MPC 100x faster and people saying it can't be used for professional work? **** outta here! I know the stability and crashing sucks in a professional environment, but come on son! If you can't make dope shit on a Ren now, then you couldn't make dope shit on a 60 20 years ago and probably wouldn't make dope shit if you had 100 features tomorrow. Case closed!

"i can't read cords and need the maschine to have all pre made midi sequences. This is 2014! what the **** are these people thinking?"

"come akai! get with the program! i don't have enough colorful vst repeats. i need ANOTHER SYNTH!" {yes yelling}
"one that has a ton of presets so i don't sound redundant with the other kids"

kids get a new toy, but its still just not enough. and honestly. its all good if you want to make music for a hobby. but people need to fall in place and shut the f up. bond. most of the ren purchaceres including myself are not using them for their job. {even though half will pipe up claiming they are} yet they still put 45 a week at the local wendys. just sit back figure out how to work around your challenges, grow a little, learn allot. and honestly figure your place as just a consumer. who has a pile of plastic that will {unlike older instruments of similar design} be obsolete in 5 years. bang out what you can and really try to improve your skill. if and when you become skilled you will look back at your past rants about OTHER people giving you limitation to your potential. and see that it was all within.

indeed. and being a robot of the state helps none. public education has most not knowing they are so far out of line correction is a shock to em .

but aside, the common sense lets realize you have a good piece of gear that is fully capable of completing the job.

just a side note for you Thorazine, Adderall, Xanax, Lexapro, Prozac, Zoloft, medicated kids. this really isn't for you. please go smoke a doob, read allot, enough to be called the new nerd amongst your friends. and realize there is more to reality then what your parents gave you.. then try to learn music theory. some cord structure and a few jazz grooves. listen to some serious reggae. then circle back to your ren and this forum. ohh and most importantly study your genre!!!!!!! study that genre and understand how the for fathers gave you the evidence. just learn the act right. and all will follow suit.

Lemme Ref this shouting match the proper way......

I purchased a MPC4000 that never got the upgrade it was advertised and promised so leave the ORIGINAL MPCs outta the RENAISSANCE threads; IT DOESNT EVEN LOAD MY OLDER MPC SONGS SO WHY LOOK BACKWARDS - THEY DONT!

Dogs only holler when you feed/SELL them MPC5000 WITH AUDIO TRACKS then snatch the bowl away, kick them out the house and tell them most dogs eat MPC60 when the dog PAYED for AKSYS, AUDIO TRACKS and BUILT IN SYNTH! - by the way meet your new owners who hate telling the truth again; MPC60 Vintage Mode PLUGGIN.

I made HITS with my MPC2000xl,MPC1000, REN and im STILL HUNGRY for proper midi import.

I.....wait.... WE, threw hard earned money at a PROMISE made by AKAI YEARS AGO!

ITS LIKE GETTING HEAD ALL YEAR FROM YA WIFE........THEN LATER SHE SAYS SHE DOESNT DO THAT ANYMORE!!!!

THEN HERE COME THE TROLLS: "MOST MEN JUST GET MISSIONARY POSITION AND MAKE IT TO WORK ON TIME LIKE EVERYBODY ELSE - IM TELLIN YA THEY GOT TOO MANY OPTIONS!" - while you looking for a divorce lawyer after getting fired for getting up late arguing with this ho.

Where is this update?

Back to this Frankenssance which I really like. BUT! :WTF:

well said. i also want improvments yet while the time spent to type a 100 count request line... i was able to made two beats in that time. i think we all feel the pain of being let down from a hype. but like "ray" who bought all the cheap controllers {mpd, mpk representative} not a very original name for naming one self....

i agree with you, but somebody in the woods with no power complaining he has no chance to get warm in the rain while the rest of us build fires makes one look.... well, lets just say it makes one Look

I was brave and read through the whole list.

A lot of it seems more geared towards utility stuff - better auto save, improved browser, being able to name and sort additional parts of a program, various workflow tweaks etc.

There's probably 10 requests that are completely DAW specific IMO and will probably never happen, but a number of the bigger things like multicore support are already coming in 1.7 anyway.

Rep or no rep, no one enjoys "getting got".

I almost bought into an MPC Studio, stopped myself dead in my "tracks".

This now needs to end. It's turning into something far from what the op intended.
I should have killed it off earlier and yep, I'm to blame as well.
