say you record all your drums to the same track 1(.i.e. kick ,snare hi hat ) press track explode now all those sounds will be separated on their own tracks .kick will be on tr 1.snare will be on tr 2. hi hat will be on tr 3. and so on.

Track explode is major. Also saw in the notes that you can do the explode in audio export too!

Yes. This now allows you to export multi timbral instruments like Kontakt into individual stems even when using only one instance. Probably one of my favorite new features.

Track explode....yessssss. I hate having to separate everything manually after speed laying a beat cause it popped into my head and I want to get it down before it's gone forever. The shit gets all wrong when I have to doing each drum part separately sometimes.

hold shift+hit pad copy, keep holding shift, hit the pad you want to copy, then still holding shift hit the pad you want to copy to

Yeah you guys are going to LOVE track explode!!!
I know I do. Between that and the mixer, its definitely a major workflow enhancement for me. Saves time, and makes it a whole lot easier to break down tracks with multiple events on them, and export out to a daw. Im not a huge fan of using MPC as a vst in a host daw and having to assign the virtual outs like I know some of you are.

Thats why this feature is WIN material for those of us that like stand alone.

I did and do use the routing from the MPC to Logic, and Ableton occasionally in stereo and multi output.

Doesn't that release indicate that midi notes from the MPC are being recorded in the DAW?

Or did I over look it?

The feature that you mentioned has been there since version 1.1, it is nothing new.

It is the 'DAW' choice as a MIDI port, to send MIDI out of the MPC and into a DAW, from an MPC track in plugin mode.

I would like to see this being updated, in perhaps the next release. Directly direct recording of midi notes and sound files into the DAW. That will save up time, and will be blazing fast workflow.
