Bug reports & end-user support for Akai's MPC Software 'controllers' including the new MPC Studio 2, the MPC Touch, MPC Renaissance & original MPC Studio and MPC StudioB lack.

Hey peeps.

I'm interested to know what changes/features you'd want for 2.0. This could be anything as small as design tweaks, to a complete GUI overhaul, to new features such as live looping on audio tracks.

Cheers

Ill start:

1. A flatter, simpler GUI. Something like - http://samplr.net

2. Browser overhaul. Taking reference from: http://www.native-instruments.com/en/pr ... battery-4/

3. Live seamless audio looping without having to stop playback.

4. Old MPC momentum scrolling. The faster you scroll the wheel the faster the cursor/edit points move.

5. Bigger, better scroll wheel on renaissance hardware for quicker sample editing.

In no order:

1) Pad explode (as opposed to whole track)
2) Reverse loop
3) Better zoom in/out for midi note view; I think shift+<> is slow. Personally, I'd go for shift + jog wheel (I know this adjusts brightness at the moment, but that could well be in preferences)
4) Ability to switch separate plugins on/off (as opposed to all)
5) rearrange tracks

BONUS: a quick button for TC on/off

akai is **** up with a lot of the "little" stuff

like now if i want to add or subtract bars with my mouse scroll wheel if i go up it adds like 50 if i go down it goes down to like 3 instead of going down 1 by 1.

also i would really really really **** life if i could apply filters in the sample edit instead of having to **** GO and record it on a track then add a filter to the program to customize it how i want..it sucks having to go to and fro sample edit.

also "shortcuts" like in photo shop like pressing ctrl+p to change from pen mode to tool selection. ability to right click and delete **** sequences

the ability to copy tracks from one sequence to another..that really pisses me off that i cant do that with the hardware and i have to go to software and copy paste and stuff..not that much work

but i think its all the little things that would make mpc better. ;)

dont know how that touch thing would apply to mpc ren.

what do you mean by browser overhaul? being able to see all the samples on the software?

i would like faster scrolling with wheel..that shit feels like for ever if you are doing it with the hardware.

p.s

if you use the mouse and click on the q link on the software it goes WAY **** faster..so ive just been using that lately. and only use q link to get up close and personal.

like ive been saying and will continue saying.

i want the **** ability to right click and delete a segquence. the ability to copy a track to another sequence with the hardware..kind of a pain in the ass to do even on the software.

also what other ppl have been saying. which is the ability to name stuff using the hardware and not having to go to the software.

ability to add shortcuts or atleast **** add them!
by that i mean do it fotoshp style ex. ctrl+h = hand tool ctrl+p = pen tool.

ive never even use the vintage mode thing. but apparently it doesnt work according to other ppl in the forum. so hopefully they fix that.

hmm...

i thnk thats it for now.

they should keep adding plugins/vsts or what ever you want to call em ;) and improve on the ones we already have even more ;)

1 - Drag & drop universal track order arrangement. I like to freely group certain tracks together for mixing purposes.

2- Q-links should auto update to reflect the active drum pad instead of having to tap on a knob, and manually set the pad reference. (Hit a drum pad, and all Q-link knobs setting should refer to that pad)

3 - Drag & drop samples to assign them to a drum pad within a program from within sample edit window.Add a program, and seq select menu at the top of the page as found in other pages. (even in chop mode we could quickly take a edit, and place it on a pad in a selected bank, and program) Super fast work flow.

4 - delete overlapping and duplicate midi notes during or after recording. DAW's have always done this.

5 - Add a preference option to use short file names. the new long names can cause issues when importing into other programs.

More! More! More! Give me more. I'm never satisfied. I want it to turn on when I come in room. It needs to warn me nicely that it's about to crash, and suggest I do a quick manual save. I want it to tell me my local temp. When they incorporate the touch screen it better be equipped with a camera. I needs to be able to take a selfy of me finishing each beat. That would be so cool for my twitter club!

:fku:

Some of you sound like undisciplined spoiled little kids. Asking for straight bites from competitive software developers! No rational thought put into "your needs" to continue your hobby based noise making years. Please move out of parents houses before trying anything else.

Thanks for your condescending and outwardly judgemental reply. It has made me rather introspective. I will try harder to think of how it will affect you when I'm next posting feature requests into a feature requests thread.

Native instruments and gear slutz could also do with some time wasters if you're interested.

What a ****

Simple workflow things like. When you do certain edits to the waveform like time stretch I would like the option to create a new sample or overwrite existing sample.

Also when I extract part of the sample I want to land on the extracted sample not the original sample.

When I copy a sequence give the sequence a unique name, not the same name as the original sequence.

mos def shon

that shit is annoying..like i been saying..its all the small thngs that they need to fix. i would really like the option to overwrite or create new sample when time stretching..shit just to take it a step further what i would really like..is if i was able to hear the sample of how it will sound after time stretching so i can make adjustments..instead of having to do it 2 or 10 times till i get it right..

also mpc turning on while ou get in the room sounds insane! and warming you up during the cold too..but that would take up too much power and lightbill would go through the roofizils.

Co-signed.

Co-signed, too. Should be named something like "Sequence 1-1" at least.

its already named something like sequence 1-1..which makes it pretty **** annoying

or atleast

"copyofsq1" or osmeshit.would make it a bit better
