Bliprock, yeah, I came to my senses about the whole measuring thing, I wasn't really thinking straight and was like "wtf I'm doing?" myself too :D But thanks anyway!

Yes, I know video cables are supposed to be 75ohm. But I tested the cables between S3kXL and MPC, they do the same thing as crappy analog cables, they drop out the signal.
The guy at the customer service today was wondering why did I received my order already cus they didn't have those cables in stock when my order was processed.
I called to manufacturer today and they are trying figure out did I get the wrong cables, why there's "video" and spdif manufacturing code on the same package sticker etc. etc. All this mess from couple of cables... :Sigh:
But the good news is that I get new pair of headphones and don't have to send the content of the broken phones package back, yay! :D

To be honest I wish I kept my 1000. I traded it in for the 2000xl I'm using right now. There are so many useful features like how every pad can cancel each other out and being able to tune multiple pads. It also has built in effects and 6 outs.

Yeah, I've been quite happy with my 1000.

I just figured out the problem. I think there might a bug in JJOS. Today i got some high quality video rca cables from my friend, even with these the signal got lost. I checked possible settings from S3kXL and MPC that could have something to do with spdif. When testing recording and playback on both machines via spdif, I noticed that in JJOS (both JJOS 1 v5.00 and JJOS 3 v1.24), when entering record menu, it cuts out the spdif output. Even if nothing is changed, just entering record menu and going straight back to main screen will cause it. Rebooting the MPC brings the spdif output back on.
So, this is how i'm gonna work:
- Rec to S3kXL in
- Spdif out
- MPC spdif in
- Save samples (need to normalise the samples cus their gain is super low from spdif :hmmm: )
- Reboot MPC
- Bang the banginest beat 8)
- Spdif out
- S3kXL spdif in
- S3kXL out

I try to find some time tomorrow to do the sound examples.

Ok, now I feel ultra stupid.
In the Record menu, I just need to change the input back to Analog to get the spdif output enabled. DAMN, I'm embarrassed :D :D And what makes it even more embarrassing is that I got a degree for electrician's profession (which included lots programming and other other things with computers), so I should know this kind of stuff  Well, at least I got the balls to say; MY BAD

Aaaaanywaayyyy, here's the sound examples. Both are recorded from Cubase, normalised and trimmed, then recorded back to Cubase. 24bit/96kHz
