its just a mpc.dll file..thats the only one i was able to find too..after a long time of searching.

If the folder you copied it from includes x86 somewhere in the path name, then it would be a 32 bit version.

If the folder you copied it from includes x64 somewhere in the path name, then it would be a 64 bit version.

How long does it take to open a Windows Explorer window, select Computer-Local Disk (C:), and type mpc.dll in as a search term?

i do that..but 1. it takes for ever too search. 2. a bunch of mpc somethings come out and not mpc.dll.. i will try and search again and see what happens.

they come out in "program files"

but that does not come out in the drive section.
so im assuming this files are "hidden"

im trying to change that so i can see them and click on them.

but havent been able too yet ;(

but still..how the **** do i find out if its 32/64 bit.. god damn it!

Live should mention on the splash screen as it is loading whether it is the 64 bit or the 32 bit version that you are running.

There's certain things/workflow you lose when using the mpc software inside of ableton. As far as i know Ableton is a host, not a plug in.

How ever you can retain some mpc "workflow" when using the software side by side and then syncing the two apps together using then mtc method(with iac or rtpmidi).. this is what we are doing with reaper. I dont really bother with mtc and syncing though, as for me i just use reaper to mix, and arrange.. Most of the stuff i do ends up with vocal stuff, where reaper is best suited to do that. The other reason i don't use syncing, is because i mainly use everything live, like pad drumming in drum phrases, samplechops, playing in guitar , keyboards/pianos organs etc, live bass to keep some sort of organic feel to my music.. Up until 1.7 with the feature direct record, you couldn't really play in the other live instruments, so i used reaper for that.. Now i've gone back to mpc sof having all the recordings because of direct record feature..

I'm assuming the only reason your using ableton is too record vocal stuff?
