It could be motherboard usb controller/bios issue, do you have audio interfaces using usb 3.0 that you can try ? who's the manufacturer of the motherboard and the model ?

Yeah C3pt's on the right track. USB 3.0 has inherent flaw with throughput on USB 2.0 devices. They are in most cases backwards compatible but you will take a performance hit with that combination.

LET ME REITERATE: This issue is with USB 3.0 spec NOT Mac vs PC

I see that you have quite a few things plugged in on the USB bus, have you tried a POWERED USB 3.0 HUB w/ its own power supply? I'd grab one for cheap and just see if you can remove some of the extra devices and try it standalone with just the REN plugged into it. If you don't see improvement, return it.

Hi everyone,
I have 2014 asus g56jr on win 8.1.
I've reinstaled my os, instaled only ren and stuff and it doesn't work.
After few minutes sound is distorted in every asio configuration. Soft freezes every few minutes, when i want to browse sth for example.
I have only usb 3 and there is ni way to switch them to usb 2.
Support said, that they know the problem, and thats it. Hmmm
It is not fair, that they sell so expensive (for me) stuff, that doesn't work on usb 3.
After using mpc1000 for 8 years i feel fooled by akai.
I am in deep sh.t.
Help me please.

I don't have anything else plugged into other usb.
It doesn't help to use a hub. I didn' try with a powered one, but any way it's (not)funny.
HELP!!!
