It's pretty basic as I found out, its essentially an older version of this:

so I'm gonna clean the faders with Deoxit and try and flip it for $50.
The 505 works great after I found a replacement adapter and is quite simple to use....I need to get a decent mixer to connect my turntable, mpc, and 505 so that I can bounce samples from the mpc to the sp, apply effects, and bounce it back. But that's down the road....Im still learning new things about my 2500 everyday
