Sadly a lot of Ensonique gear is a "structural" nightmare. My Mirage rack has rack eats that are welded on , and my 88 lb 88 won't keep its frame straight unless you have stock eom side panels. Just one drop and this thing gets twisted . But Ensonique excels at everything else

also longer cables and a new turntable since the damn audio technica i have is really shaky, pioneer plx seems like the best option.

Well, I've taken mine apart and drilled ventilation holes and recapped it.

I took the rack ears off mine fine. Definitely don't remove the side screws though as they hold an important heat sink to the casing. The casing actually acts as part of the heat sink.

On the right ASR10 and PC with shit interface. On the left the rest, with my 4K as the KING of the room.

I can recommend an SPL Transient Designer...

Bought one used and tested it yesterday. Sadly one channel was broken so i sent it back... but the working channel... wow! Gonna buy a new one instead now... it sounds amazing on drums!

If you're looking for a compressor for drums, you might like the transient designer instead. I always thought what i want is a compressor, but for sampled drums, the transient designer is so much simpler and nicer to bring out the attack in drums, or extend the sustain of a snare... it might be what you are looking for instead of a comp. I'm still happy with my compressors, but i should have bought the transient designer a long time ago already to be honest. A friend always told me it's what i'm looking for, i always thought he doesn't know what he's talking about...

Searching already, thanks for enlarging the hole in my hand. Its an old saying in Holland for spending to much. (I got a hole in my hand). Thanks for the tip kan didnt know what it was till now.

Hey. Doing a bit of an introduction too, new on these boards.
Synth and hardware nerd, born in the late 80s. Main DAW is Reason (v7.2), but I sometimes fall back on old trackers (scrolling downwards, hexadecimals, you know it).
Into vaporwave & ambient, oldskool dubstep, UK garage, eclectic breakbeats & DnB, dub techno, grime, the list goes on...

Got a passion for manuals, cheese synths and good beer.

Monitors are Tannoy Reveal, passive, hooked to Yamaha amp. MPCstuff-pimped 5000, blue Electribe, crap 16 channel mixer, awesome PreSonus AudioBox 1818VSL soundcard, some rack fx (more has been added since I shot the pic), x2 Technics 1200s mkII, A&H mixer, guitars, Yamaha Motif 6 as master keyboard/sound module. Also got some more small synths, drum machines and MIDI gear.
