After messing with hit for exactly one hour now it feels like a brand new machine. Things are changed, slightly off and many new features which will take getting used to.

There's a serious bug on Win 7 which causes a crash when you hit edit > preferences which needs to be handled for the software to be usable but once that's sorted then we're good and the exploring will continue.

Oh & had a quick chopping session with the new NDC feature. A total game changer. The speed and efficiency of cutting something to shreds and making it usable is frightening!

I seem to be getting clicks when chopping into regions, this never happened in 1.7.2 or earlier. I have say 2 bars chopped perfectly at zero points, when played as a loop plays seamlessly and perfect, but when I chop it up i get the clicks and pops at the start of each sample chop... not sure what I'm doing wrong

i dont want sayng the same stuff all the time...but bruh we need a decent one shot/trigger envelope for pitch and croosfade/alternate looping for sample...really.

except for this im totally fine with the mpc software (i bought a studio in japan as well...), never needed feature like bpm counter or timestrecth, but hey im not complaining about them their welcome!

and i agree with N Mindz about the enviroment getting a lil more complex.

i also noticed that operating the software just with the mouse and keyboard is getting more difficult as well.

yo the lazy chop+scrub is just insane, best feature since 1.0...

Probably related to my workflow, but not liking how export works right now. If I want to export to audio for tracking in a DAW, the way the export feature works since 1.7 is :hmmm: .

In 1.6, I could go into song mode, and export each track as an individual wav file. Since 1.7 this feature has been removed. All I can figure out now, is that you have to have an individual sound in a program, and export audio by program instead of track. Not sure if there is a better way to do it, but this is just counter-intuitive IMO. Should be able to go into song mode, export the song by track, and get individual audio files per each track. IMO now it is WAY to complicated to achieve the same thing. I keep all of my sounds in one program - perhaps that's the problem.

Maybe I'm just not understanding, but seems like not a good implementation. If anyone has any insight into how to do this better, please enlighten me. I'm open to learn.

No cons so far.
But maybe this would be a good opportunity to say, I'd like to be able to have multiple effects windows opened. Say in example, I like to have a spectrum analyzer opened on the master channel and am working on a equalizer on another track. Both analyzer and eq windows would be opened at the same time.

Better support for multiple screen. It would be wikkid to have the mixer detachable from the main project window, like in apple Logic ie

Few pros after a quick run:

Truly loving the non destructive choppin, the project folder is proper tidy now!

Also, the samples in Samples list are really highlighted when clicked now, much more practical!!
But then I don't seem to be using this list much often as of lately!
How about, adding a new chops list?

Also lovin the the Vintage effects skins, that's really cool :)

really dig it.. but the chop now has me lost. always been a destructive chopper. used Maschine only 6-8 months. never dug it. {other then the obvious new tech stuff.}

so I'm just kinda lost on the chop factor now. i see how to do it the old way but interested in utilizing the new features. going to have to go watch hellfire's vid again.

I keep referring to the 1.8 videos to figure out the new Chop mode. Got pissed a little bit, not gonna lie. A lot to take into my workflow. Taking my time. After all, we are learning an instrument.
I have NDC on JJOS. But 1.8 is JJ on crack.

small learning curve but once you stop trying to use every feature and get to work?…. yeah this is a beast of a product now its so much faster!!!! I can say with my chest out mpc now has the better software imo…..
