Akai LPK25 into Akai MPC Ren

I am trying to connect my akai LPK 25 usb keyboard to my Akai ren and i'm having troubles. I cannot seem to get it to work. I think I"ve done every step and it still isnt working...any suggestions would be welcomed

Can you maybe list all steps taken? Then it is easier to find a solution.

I've connected my LPK25 to my MPC ren and set the audio preferences to LPK25. Went to sync and selected midi clock and the proper recieve and send places. And then in program edit selected the Midi option in a new track. However I am unable to place sounds onto the pads of the mpc and select the desired sound I want to be played from my keyboard. I know I'm missing something here I just cant figure it out.

Its my first time using an MPC so any help is appreciated.

on the main screen, select plugin and then "BANK"

After connecting the LPK go to preferences-->MIDI and choose the LPK from the Active MIDI Inputs.
