MPC1000 goes into reboot when trying to load/save

Hi there!
I am having problems with a recently purchased MPC 1000 (JJOS 2XL)
It goes into reboot the moment i go into LOAD or SAVE Mode.
I already opened it and checked for loose cable connections.
Also i already tried to start with Tap Tempo but JJOS only gives me a blank screen.
Could it be a HDD problem? It doesnt seem to recognize the Drive anymore..
Any help would be greatly appreciated..

Are you trying to load from CF card or from hard disk?

If the former, look for bent pins inside the card reader. If the latter, try to reformat the drive. If that fails try another drive...

I am booting from HDD.
Problem is: The MPC goes into reboot instantly, when i go into Save/ Load Mode.
Am i f****d now?
I noticed some problems loading from HDD before ( Load was very slow sometimes, LCD screen flickering, went into reboot while loading 1 or 2 times). So maybe i have to try a new drive or try to boot from CF Card first?

Try a different OS as well, that way you can determine if it's a software problem or not. If the same thing happens on Akai OS, free JJOS and OSXL, then it's most likely something to do with the hardware.

It could be the drive failing although I'm not convinced that could cause reboots. My first instinct would be to check if the drive is properly attached to the main board - i.e. is it seated correctly in the connector? Loose connections will typically cause reboots, I've had this happen twice - first when the LCD connector wasn't pushed in correctly, and second when the pad sensor connector had started popping out.

If re-seating the drive doesn't fix it, try removing the hard drive completely. If that doesn't solve it it could be the hard drive connector itself is faulty.

However also try the usual checks - take out memory and re-seat it, open up the MPC and check all the connectors are properly pushed in.

It may also be software related - reboot holding down ERASE to re-initialise the MPC, this can fix many software problems.

Re-seated the Hard Drive. Put in some screws in the front chassis to hold the HD where it belongs (they seemed to be forgotten by the previous owner. )
MPC booting and loading normally until now.
