For me to be able to provide the coloured displays for the mk1 and ASQ etc I need a couple of detailed photos of the sequentix displays, back and front..
If someone can furnish me with these, I should be able to offer them up. :)

Hey sorry, if this question has been answered, but can this be installed without soldering? I'm an amateur when it comes to that kind of thing, but am really into this lcd part! I just installed the elite backlight, and they are dim still.

that is interesting... i would have thought it would be possible on the 60ii seeing the 3000 had that as an option you could buy back in the day..

Yeah and from what I can see from photos that thing sat in line with the lcd.. it looks like quite an involved board. These days that should be real easy to implement with something like a 30 buck raspberry pi board which has hdmi output...

@shiznay kind of makes sense considering the profit you've been making off of the screens thus far.

Not sure if that was a dig dude?
It's cost me close to 2k (usd) just for the tooling of the new displays. The ones for the 3k and mk2.
So as of right now I'm in the hole for quite a bit more than that.
Certainly no profit for me yet, but yes, making some profit is, of course, my intention in the long run. Otherwise where would the motivation be?

That cool?

@shiznay I do not consider my previous post to be a dig at you or the sales you are making dude.

Ah. Cool. Don't wanna upset anyone. And besides only sold 5 so far, hoping this wasn't a mistake already. Lol I said to someone privately earlier, if after selling the stock I buy I no longer want to provide them, I will make my schematics and board layouts public domain so that the info will be here forever... :)

@shiznay, well you have put in the time to source the screens, test and develop. Turning a profit for your work should not be anything to worry about upsetting people over - and if they do some how get upset then they can eat a di*k really.
