Mark your calendars October 7th, 2015 is the big announcement date. #NIKiller"

"I think you cynics need to "Touch" it for yourselves and see how the new software works to understand the full weight of this particular product. The Touch is a better build than my Maschine Studio controller and the new MPC software is superior to Maschine as well. I'm a little disappointed that they haven't used the video they shot of us testing it out or at least teasers of the 3 other new products they let us play with. Looks like there's a marketing spoon feed taking place at Akai Professional. "

The guy has signed an NDA, keeps letting out info that, if true, would be breaking the NDA, and then keeps going on about how he can't elaborate any further as he can't break the NDA. :hmmm:

If he's going to break the NDA he might as well break it properly rather than being selectively coy once he's got all the attention he appears to be looking for.

I doubt his apparently 'big shot NYC Producer' employer is going to be particularly happy about this, as the employer is the one who's ultimately responsible for his employees respecting the NDA and of course it is the employer who can get sued for breaking the terms.

I think this guy is just a Nukai troll. He's there for creating marketing hype, simple as that. Cheap strategy. But obviously working.
Remember the hype of the last weeks?! Imagine, Akai would have presented their new baby without this controlled leak. Only half of the fun.

100% agree-
I think Akai itself is behind all this information leaking

I just want to hear Ableton Live 9 realt-time time-stretching, audio to midi, Virtual Instrument Player (VIP), correct midi file import-export, Automatic Delay Compensation (ADC), Song Mode and a built in transparent limiter.

I need this guy. why ask his shoe size, who he be with; when we here for the MPC SOFTWARE 1.9? are they trying to date this guy or get IMPORTANT info?

MPC-Tutor wrote:Oh definitely not a bad thing for Akai to have these small leaks, certainly builds interest, but I think you give Akai's 'iconic' marketing department far too much credit. :smoker:

Yeah, maybe

Btw, just wanted to mention that I like this forum more and more. As a dedicated MPC forum it's far more relaxed here than, say, Gearslutz ( at least at the moment )

YUP, lol. :smoker:

Wasn't there a video with RZA who tried that device? I remember it was one of the worst beats I ever heard and he seemed to be bored out of his mind.

If Akai continue to push out more cheap plastic, then they may as wel have InMusic acquire Fisher Price and market "My First Sampler".
