Note Variation Slider. Is Niiice.

I've heard a lot of cat's say " My note variation slider doesn't work"
Then everyone says "You'll never need it"
I think I even said it myself.

But the note variation slider is nice.

If you've got a Mpc why not have everything working?

I rely on it heavily (and the only time I use it) is when I'm chopping samples on the trim screen. Just hold the shift button and move the slider. It's super convenient and hell of a lot better than turning the jog wheel. Especially if it's a long sample.

Yeah I do that for sure. Also I've used it to record filter changes. I'm just wondering how others have used it.

I don't think the trim via note variation slider function works on the non Xl?
That controlling decay on a ride cymbal sounds like a interesting idea, I think I'll try that out on hi-hats for a bit of variation.

I like to use it for pitch on some sort of drum/percussion sound, works nice at the end of a measure as a fill or transition.
