MPC1000 Does not see working CF Card

I'm trying to load sounds from the CF card that came with my MPC1000. I was able to open the card up on my computer and put on some files. I saw many program and sequence files from the previous owner as well, though the card still had much space left. However. when I have the card inside my MPC, it's like it's not even there. When I go to load something, it says there's 0.00 MB left. When I go to format it, it says to insert a card. I'm positive the card is inserted correctly, the push lever works properly, and no pins are bent. The weirdest part is that if I insert it while it is on, it gives the "Wait" dialog, noticing that it's there. What am I doing wrong?

could be a problem with your cf-card reader in the mpc. I've dealt with it before. Stay in contact with the person you bought it from, so you have a better chance of getting your money back.
