EXPORTED PROGRAMS -> CHANGING OUTPUT CHANNELS (MPC2500)

So If I export a program from MPC Studio,

and load it with my MPC 2500 (jjosxl) I can only hear it out of "Stereo Out".

If I try and assign a track to output 1 to 8 I cannot hear anything.


I know the problem is at the "program" level,

because if I load the same sound into a new (unused) program,

I can assign a new output channel and hear it no problem.

So the problem is at the "program" level for sure.

Something with the way MPC Studio exports the programs,

but where at the program level is the problem?

I'd be happy to go into the problematic program on the 2500,

and change whatever setting it is, but where?


I tried re-saving the program on the 2500 itself

(in hopes that would strip out any whack mixer settings) to no avail.


Thoughts on how to fix these imported MPC Studio programs?

OR, is there a better way to export from the Studio perhaps?
(just using the standard "export as MPC1000/2500 Program" option)

Perhaps 1.9 fixes the issue?

Interesting, I will try and test to see if i get the same issue, are the sounds assigned to other out puts on your mpc studio session or it just wont let you route to other outs on 2500?

What happens when you save in legacy format using the independent loop feature?

The sessions in Studio are master (stereo) out by default,

would be interesting to try assigning the outputs there first.

Mind you, I don't think studio saves the output assignments at the program level,

but at the project level (perhaps that changed in 1.9).


Not sure what the independent loop feature is.

I'm just trying to import programs (kit) I make on the studio.


Unfortunately my 2500 is occupied for the rest of the night so I can't try anything ATM.

Gonna try a few thing in the next couple of days and report back!

Nobody needs your report. We need MPC Software 2.0 and you are in the wrong forum discussing another company(THE ORGINAL Akai Professional). Cant you see they dont intend to make old MPCs anymore? Go buy some more hardware and scream "HA HA, I FEEL BAD FOR YOU GUYS THAT BOUGHT THE REN!" like you did a second ago. We talking about THIS REN in this RENAISSANCE FORUM.
