How do Renaissance owner's feel in 2015?

There was nothing wrong with Ren in the end; however, I've been a Live + Push user for a while, and especially as Push 2 came out, I thought I wouldnt be using the Ren anymore.
I put an ad about it out there and a guy that lived really close to me said he'd like to do the trade, and i was like hell yeah, a standalone.
I had never even touched the MV8000 before, but now i can't help thinking it must be the most underrated machine out there – in terms of hype and respect out there, especially compared to MPCs.

What's better about it? It's standalone, and getting away from the laptop land feels great. Been laying some beats with it recently, and I had forgotten how good making music with a dedicated machine can feel.

I love it! Has been 2.5 years and it has got better with each update 1.8.2 was the one for me when i felt it became a 'complete' instrument. 1.9 built on that and i would be happy if I got no more updates from now on. I can work without looking at the software entirely except for renaming tracks etc... I can live with that. Runs solid on my pc so much so it feels just like using a hardware unit.

I'm glad that's working out for you, there's no right or wrong machine it only comes down to what makes you feel good and productive when you're making music.

I agree, it definitely feels like a complete unit, if they never make another update for the Ren I wouldn't be upset.
