Sample Dumping Into a PC?

If I want to take a digi sample from a 2000XL and put it into a program like Pro Tools, is it as simple as taking it off the CF Card and uploading it into the program?

Note, I don't have an MPC yet so I'm trying to research what I need to get for my purposes.

Yes, it is easy to take samples from the MPC & put them into a computer. The usual method for 2000/2000xl users is to have a zip drive on the MPC & another on the computer & just swap disks between the two ..... so it will work with CF cards providing you've got the hardware to read them.
