Playing sounds from a music software

hi guys....

i'm almost getting there where i want....now i finally can sync and track out my music from the 2000 xl into my musicprogramm (persons studio one).

now how do i have to setup the mpc und musicprogramm so i can play the sound (which is in the musicprogramm) on the mpc....?

Via MIDI. The manuals contain all the information you´ll need...

i think my cables are hooked up correctly but i don't hear the sound from the daw on my mpc.....

So you want to control your software with the MPC pads and route the audio from the computer to the MPC?

yes exactly....

thats not how this sampler works.
you could in theory route the daw output to the mpc record ins, then go into the sample screen, but you cant play the mpc from this screen.
so you'd have to trigger the sounds in your daw another way.
you could also just route the midi to your daw and just keep everything in the daw after the mpc sequences it.

but i don't know what settings i have to do in the daw or the mpc.

look up on this site 'mpc as controller in logic'. i believe it's written for an mpc4000 but that doesn't matter.
