Would this floppy emulator work on a 2000XL

Just found this, and was wondering if it works in the 2000XL. I don't want one, but might be useful for others as they're pretty cheap: http://www.amazon.com/Generic-SFR1M44-U-Emulator-Industrial-Equipment/dp/B008HYT6T2

It should work but you'd be completely wasting your time by installing a floppy emulator on the XL, especially when you can install a CF card reader for $20 quid.

Keep in mind, the only caveat with a $20 one is that it'll have to be an IDE card reader, so no hot swapping but still a far smarter choice to make vs a floppy emulator.

and i'll still say if yer going floppy emulator, you want hxc.
tho i agree, card reader is 100% the way to go on an xl.
