MIDI Import

Hi guys, I know there's been a post about this before but I'm a little confused.

Let's say I have some chords in logic and export the midi file.

It is said that when I import it to mpc software in will import to a sequence but I can't see the midi notes on the piano roll.

Any help?

Should work fine if it's a standard MIDI file. Please post your step-by-step recreation so we can see where you are going wrong.

I have a midi file with the extension .mid I drag and drop it into the bottom right window of the MPC software and I can see the file under sequences.
Thats as far as I can get , I have a plug in on track one ad the midi in the sequence window but can't see anything in the piano roll.

When you import it should ask you which sequence you wish to import it to and the events should be there, assuming you've selected the correct track and of course that the MIDI file was created correctly in the first place. Is it possible to post up the MIDI file? You'll need to upload it to dropbox or similar.

No events are showing up in the MPC for that file. However I imported it into Logic Pro X and I can see the events there. I then exported it as a MIDI file back from Logic (File > Export > Selection as a MIDI file) and that file imports into the MPC no problem. I assume that original file is in a format the MPC cannot read properly? How did you create it in Logic?

but i can not import it to live or mpc or cubase.
what's i made wrong here ?

with selected notes and import
the midi file return in live have dats
but the notes are different
they plays some other pads
and 16 level not include
in 2016 times i do notv realy understand


a new question :
how i can do a simple 16leveltune melody into a midifile ?
at normaly i plays melodys and chords in a drum mode- thats easier ,faster and kompact
i dont like the workflow with melodies extra track and 100 samples for melody part
a simple methode to exports 16tune would be nice
maybe as pitch cc value

I sorted it out with the help from above and now I'm not getting any events in the piano roll.

midi in ren is a cripple

it lacks midi mapping for pad export and 16 level tune as cc

Having the same exact issue. Some of my midi files will have notes on the piano roll if I open them a few times, others have completely stopped showing notes. The frustrating part is that the midi import worked fine for the exact same files earlier today, but now they open blank. Sooooooooooooo frustrating. I wish akai would invest more in their software, they are the masters of glitchy workflow stoppages
