Ren emulation of old samplers

Hi
I have straightforward question to owners of both mpc 60 and Ren and/or Mpc 3000 and Ren.
I am qurious how good is MPC Ren emulation of the MPC 60 and other MPC 3000 and it has SP1200 emulation ad well (i am not sure about that one)does it really sound like 60 or MPC 3000 .
Ive seen somewhere on internet comparisons to the 3000 and they were showing that it emulates mpc 3000 perfectly.

I don't think they stand up to a side by side comparison, I've always seen them as a gimmick. They are of course usable though, regardless.

Let's not forget that the emu 'ring mode' emulation has been previously shown to be nothing more than the 'decimator' plugin with some preset settings, so im not convinced any of these plugins are the result of intensive scientific analysis. More likely to be the result of an afternoon of tweaking and happy accidents

Decimort 2 is probably the closest you can get to emulating all the classic samplers.

As a owner of both mpc touch and the mpc 3000 i can tell that the emulation plugins do not even come close..

I think thats the only one I know that can do Resampling.

Yes, so probably it will be better getting decimort 2
But I was asking just because I am using Logic X and I have no controller with pads and I have MPC3000 as well but this mpc 3000 can't be connected as a controller???

Naw, you cant really use the 3000 as a controller...

to midi up the 3000 with your computer/logic and an audio interface like a apogee duet (or something similar) and you're good money.

That's all you need.

Decimort 2 eps preset is bonkers

Decimort 2 EPS / Studio440 / and MPC60 are the closest you can get to the real thing. The resample mode helps with the EPS emulation. Use your ear not what the knob says. It works well with push 2 knobs by default.
