Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

I got connected my mpc2000xl on 3/4 line in my Mbox2 Pro soundcard my monitors are connected on the mbox.I am using ableton to monitor what comes out my mpc but the problem is best case scenario on lower buffer size i get overall latency 7.26 ms it is not big latency but i feel when i connect smaller speakers lets say on the headphone output and do beats it feels more better because that way there is no latency i am going straight to my speakers. One way is to connect my monitors directly to my mpc but i need to change cables when i listening from mpc or soundcard.Other way i was wondering to use source select device like the behringer mini mon800 but i cant find one on my local store. So my question is people who are going from MPC to Soundcard and Souncard to monitors how you fix this latency due to AD/DA ??

i dont think is due to computer specs i think there is allways gonna be some latency if you are going from mpc out to soundcard input it feels like the mp is meant to be directly on the monitors so only solution now is to use small mixer and put mpc out on 3/4 and the output of the soundcard on the 5/6 and the monitors on the main out of the mixer so use the faders to choose what to listen on the main monitors. That way the connection is mpc out - mixer in -mixer out- monitors avoid the soundcard when doing beats only use it to trackout in daw.

have you tried adjusting the 'mix' knob on your mbox? if it is like most interfaces, then that might allow you to monitor the input directly. one option is to just monitor the mpc and not ableton while you are recording, then turn the mix knob back to pure ableton once you have it tracked in.

but yea if you want to monitor through ableton at all, you will have latency.

edit: i just realised you said mbox2 pro and i looked at an image of an mbox2. not sure if the 'pro' has the mix knob...maybe you can do it in software? seems a pretty dumb thing to omit from the 'pro' model.

I have solved the problem thanks Tapedeck i guess the mbox 2 pro doesnt have mix knob but i have done a reading in Pro Tools i get option to activate low latency monitoring so i can directly monitor without any latency how i can be so stupid i guess from now i gonna use Pro Tools for monitoring i was using it for tracking but with this option is great !
