could you explain this to me? maybe it's because my first mpc is the ren and i do some things on software, but i rarely use them

I did earlier in this thread. Dude, just see what they do (not to be an as$)...

Fact Mag is a joke. They take nonsensical tweets from people and turn them into full articles that just repeat and quote the dumb tweets. They're like a hipster media version of fox news.

As far as the arrow buttons, I use them ALL THE TIME. Moving the cursor around within a sequence, sliding around notes, etc. They're so so so crucial for my workflow.

There has been a couple of articles pop up like this and to be honest there pretty much based on speculation from forums ( this one , gear slutz) and a few members saying they've heard this and that ,added with the release of them documents from the fcc , which is the only real evidence other than hearsay .
That article claims both manuals are avalible it also says the black ren which it says looks like a Mpc 60 when clearly it's a ren with a different screen is the 'eclipse' ( but hold on we were told it's called mpc legacy) and btw it has no big ass touch strip along the bottom which someone said was on it , he was the guy that told us about the touch and said two new models were coming but didn't bother to say that one was a standalone touch ? A year later , then the other model apparently now won't be shown till 2017 .
It also mentions prices which have only been mentioned by forum user .

I see. Yeah I dont believe there is another one coming, maybe "Live" but another REN like machine idk. We do need a flagship with more controls like the REN but making it look exactly like the REN to me means you should name it REN XL or something similar. I think the Touch "Live" may be all that's coming.

So I visited a psychic today and asked her about the MPC Eclipse. She said that the first hardware revisions will have trouble and that the OS will be almost the same as what Touch users have now but with less features. It won't have the processing power necessary to do more than what you can do with the REN or Touch now.

She also said that next year this time, the price of 2000 and 2000XL's will double in price (think prices like ilovemympc but without card reader and led upgrades), and the MPC 3000 will average $5000 USD in response to the upset.

You can jump around by clicking on the bar field and then using the jog wheel, but it is not comparable to using the dedicated keys, which make it way faster. I hate going having to go into the bar field every time I want to do it (you can click on the spot you want to jump to on software, too, but hey, that defeats the point of having a controller).
A modern day example: you could compare this to having to go to the settings page of your cell phone to adjust its volume instead of using its dedicated keys, which are always there and make it super quick.

Let's say you have 16 bars. You want to quickly hop to the beginning of bar 15 to record a ghost kick.
It's three clicks: >>, <, <. That takes around a second when it's in your muscle memory. While doable, it takes way longer using the touch screen. Small things like these pile up when you use it a lot; not a biggie for a casual user.

You can laugh all you like, but at least CNN has SOME semblance to the truth. FOX lies are fact-checked into oblivion 100 times a week.
