Maybe you'll get it with a flight case that fits perfectly around body and touchscreen so there will be no chance of breaking it.

That sounds pretty crazy and easy to break, should make it like a nintendo nx with detachable tablet design and if you could use just the tablet on its own too, i dont think akai is as clever as all that but will wait and see

lol i play a 2500 mostly, but if they are gonna stick a tablet on top of an mpc might aswell be detachable mainly for the fact it doesnt get broken, it doesnt seem to fit into the traditional form factor of an mpc is the problem, needs to slide away neatly or detach, this is the most video game/ipad like mpc so far. no need to be a dick
