Bug reports & end-user support for Akai's MPC Software 'controllers' including the new MPC Studio 2, the MPC Touch, MPC Renaissance & original MPC Studio and MPC StudioB lack.

I looked for the Akai booth in its usual spot down and somewhat center not to far from the Dave Smith Section of Namm and noticed that it wasn't there. When I checked the map it said they were located upstarts 206b. So my boy and I go to the booth and they have the entrance roped off. I'm thinking maybe its for a demo their taping and I let the lady at the desk out front know I wanna check the MPC X out. She says that its only by appointment to approved people. I've been to quite a few of the Naam Shows and I've seen the launch of the Renaissance, the touch, and new os. They always let you have a go on the machines. Dropping 2k for a machine you announce at Naam that no one can see except for a few cats on your roster who get to do vids turned me off. I'm not posting this to tell people what to do, I'm just passing along what was told to me. I just wanted people who haven't made it to the show and are thinking about putting dough down on this as soon as it drops to know. I'm hoping maybe it was like some Friday Press day and tomorrow they'll open it up, I'll let you know.

You know, Jesus liked small crowds too. Multitude of people ganging up on you asking the same questions over and over again in different forms, really takes a toll. I did it for 3 years and went crazy!

You're seriously going to compare jesus to wanting to look at an MPC?

Wauw, Im so glad that I didn't take the plane from Europe to go to the NAMM event after hearing this. I wouldn't be amused.. no not at all..

Maybe it's because of the way the guy on the reddit forum threatened Dan Gill. :Sigh:

Thats what Namm is about why go if you dont want to be hassled you already have videos from the beta guys and Andy doing the same demoing he did for a few guys at Namm. So we have no new info from Namm except that it is not ready what a bunch of shit.
Get ready for Namm guys you get to see for yourself the power of Akai and the new stand alones.
Not sure the date Akai gave to retailers but it seems strange that so many wrong dates trying to get pre orders I know some is the retailer but come on they have communication with Akai.

Haha! Really. I mean, at least there's SOME evidence that the new MPCs exist!

I know right. MPC has much more reach than Jesus. He didn't even have MIDI out!

Exactly. And his support for 3rd-party peripherals was abysmal.
