I felt strange about it. Heard and read that is a very easy machine etc.
A few days ago I went to one guy to test a MPC 2000 XL and coming from 4000 I did not feel comfortable at all. "Shift +" is nothing compared to just different layout of menus. I felt it is just different and less user friendly than 4K. AND I am not so familiar with 4K either, I used it from time to time, but it just seems easier.
How do you feel about it? What is your opinion?
(On the other side 4K reminds me of early PC days).

the 2000xl is very easy to use.. very easy and nice to flow with the sequencer.

the thing is, you sort of need to know what the machine can do and what your objective is... record sample, trim sample, assign sample, sequence sample, save project.

2kxl is sooo much easier than 4k. I have both. 4k is a full fledged sampler though. 2kxl is not, not even close.

Friends, do you ever use your 2KXL without a computer? Times have changed and I wonder if there is any editor involved and you just don't feel like using this MP fully standalone.

Haven't used it in a while, but, whenever I do, it's always by itself and like
said above, last step is pc ONLY to multitrack it out.
