FORMATTING ZIP DISKS TO WORK WITH PC AND MPC

Hi I am having issues trying to format my zip disks so that they work simultaneously with my PC and MPC2000xl.

So far they work on the mpc but when i put them into the PC is says there is no disk in the drive and it cannot reconise .

I understand you suposed to format the disks on a PC to FAT16 or something so that they will function on the mpc and the pc. But if i cant get my pc to reconise the disk how can i format?

Do i need a mac computer to formatt ? or windows XP?

I've formatted Zips on Win8 and OS10. Formatting the Zip disk to FAT16 should work on both PC/Mac or MPC.
Verify that your Zip drive on your computer works and not making click of death noises.

Sage advice. . . Ive had 3 dodgy USB Iomega drives. . . My SCSI has been relatively solid for ages

My USB iomega drive works on the pc with other zip drives so i dont think its the IOMEGA.

When i put the messed zip disk in the iomega the computer can even access it . It says please insert a disk.

So im not sure how to format it cuz formatting on the mpc dosnt make it work on the PC>
