Danoc, the Donald Trump of The Mpc Live world. No way of getting around it. He even talks like him.. Sorry "Bro" but reading the Mpc Live Bible and then claiming you only use 30% of the Live which somehow makes you the end all wizard of the Live when you have no concept of latency or what an audio interface is and does. Which you posted about multiple times.. You give out this bunk ass advice when a question gets asked that is above your mental capacity because you want to show everyone you "know" mentality. If you don't understand it you resort back to personal attacks and then say I only use my Mpc to put my drums on the f*ckin grid! Yeah buddy. It's got a super tight sequencer on it to, "haha" that coming from you, priceless. Your constantly bringing up gearslutz. I don't know why.

I come from different machines, SP606, 2500, Maschine, etc. I was hoping to use the MPC Live as a standalone machine and being able to route my instruments in Reason through mpc midi tracks. As far as I've found, there is no way to do it. If I use it in standalone, there's no midi connection with the computer, I have to switch to controller mode to do that.

If you'd like to be in Standalone but use midi tracks to run your vst's or computer like a sound module, you can get on of these. this is 1in x 1out midi obviously you can get more ins + outs to use all of live's midi ports.

Might not be the perfect solution but you could always go about it this way. I use this when I want to use a Komplete instrument but not in a daw, this way I can just open up on the desktop, route the Midi from the vst instrument to the Mpc Live and vice versa. Use the midi sequencer in the live. I have a dedicated audio interface so routing audio might be a bit easier for me. But You can use the Computers audio card to go back to your Live type thing if that's all you have.
