H9 works great with the live. You can’t control it over usb but it has an iOS app to customize your effects. Full midi cc control and a crazy amount of customizing within the algorithms. It’s pretty easy and can be fast if you don’t obsess over tweaking all the parameters to perfection.
You can automate the parameters over cc with the sequencer, and it’s syncs to the clock. It stays at the last bpm unless it’s changed on the master. So you don’t have to worry about it reverting to another bpm when you turn off the sequencer on the live.
FYI- you will need to tweak parameters on the h9 as the effects are not all set up the same with output. Meaning a delay might be set perfectly but if you switch to a reverb you may need to turn the output up on the h9.
Great companion for the live in the effects department. I you’re not down with spending so much on a effects box, the newer boss effects; delay,chorus, and reverb are on par or even better in some areas. A little easier on the wallet but not multi effects like the h9.

So I can assign Mpc qlinks to H9 Parameters through midi learn and then tweak the h9 parameters in real time with Mpc?
I also would prefer some Roland or Boss multi fx device but I cannot find a small one with midi and stereo.
Any suggestion?

I have a boss md 500 which is awesome and I like better than the chorus on the h9 although It can come close would need some tweaking.
I really like the rv 500, but have too much as it is to justify it. These newer boss pedals have the same midi, pc editor, and stereo in and out. I think they even released a real multi effects pedal but may be more aimed at guitars strictly.
The h9 will cover the most ground compared to anything else out there. You will need a tablet, phone or computer to get the most out of it. Programming from the pedal is kind of annoying.

I am.not so inclined to use anything else then knobs honestly.
A mix of dd500 rv500 md500 into a single small box would be the best.

That’s pretty much the h9. If you save a template with the qlinks it might be alright.
