mpc 2k syncd with cubase and eurodesk

if i got a mpc 2k and eps 16 hooked up to a eurodesk 24/48 mixing board
and the mpc 2k syncd to cubase would i still be ale to control the volumes and limits on my sequence with teh eurodesk even considering its not a control surface?

try it out and see.

when u mean eps16, do you DPS16? cause I have a simaler set up
where I have the DPS16 control the MPC2000XL. and sometimes I My Yamaha control the DPS16, but I'm not sure if I can get em to run the both. I should try. One say to do it all though is by using a midi merge box.
then it would be like its only just to 2 Devices synced when theres loads. all running together,

If you are using the 8 output board connected to 8 mixer inputs then ANY suitable mixer will be able to control the levels of your MPC sequences, whether you will have access to any automation, processing or effects depends on the spec of the mixer.

If you are only using the stereo outputs you must use the MPC mixer screen to control individual levels.

If your mixers faders are able to transmit midi control change messages, it is likely that you could use them to control the cubase mixer. This way you could mixdown your tracks from cubase with hardware faders. Some mixers use SMPTE to achieve this instead of midi control change messages.

Whatever mixer you decide to use the following features will help.

Having a dedicated input channel for each output in your studio
Onboard effects/ dynamics processing
multiple insert points and multiple output busses
Effects Send/ Return
Automation features
Digital I/O
Level meters
Scene Memory
Assignable faders and other controls (knobs, buttons etc)

I use a Yamaha O2R to meet all these requirements, but most digital mixers are good for the job.
