MPC 2000XL NOT RECIEVING MIDI WHILE RECORDING AUDIO

Hello I'm new with the 2000XL. My question is if it is possible to start MPC with midi signal from other device when it's in the recording audio mode. I've got MIDI OUT from Korg Electribe set into MIDI IN on the MPC and when MPC is in the sequencing mode it is normally staring, when I start the Korg, but when it's recording it's not working.

if you are talking about actually receiving midi while recording audio, aka sampling, then no - you can't do much else when you are sampling except record audio.

if you are talking about recording a sequence, i am not sure exactly what your question is.
