That’s right. One “samples” from found objects, and one is a master draughtsman and illustrator.

Keep it civil.

Take it to the battle sub-forum if both parties agreee.

It's funny he called me a Luddite snob. When a Luddite was a group of people, who essential against industrialization and new tech. No one on this forum is a Luddite, in fact we are technophiles. LOL

:WTF: wtf LOL

So are you saying for example a luddite would be like those Analog heads who didn't want to cross over to the digital and software side and made up arguments to reason with their own thoughts? LOL

It's like saying and SSL board, all the channel strips sound the same from the same board AND THEY DON'T! I don't see how all the MPCs sound the same, if so can some one explain to me and show me a shoot out? Or if one can here the difference between 16 bit and 24 bit.

Now are peeps arguing if they can tell this by ear? hmmm :hmmm: For instance the MPC 3000 does not sound like the MPC2000xl and I love both machines. the 3000 is punchier and warmer. Both those Machines don't sound like the MPC60 or 60II.

Dam Charles Aeolian and Dorain etc mixed when playing? Whew man that's hard LOL

Don't wanna get in a beef over this, I am more concern about the functions, cause we have software now to make the certain sounds our soul acquire.

My mentor always said, "You know the ones with the massive Ego and No confidence. They are quick to fight, quick to be offended, and quick to prove themselves at a drop of dime."

Same here, I'm more concerned about the functions and sound. All this King Kong, beating on their chest stuff, is just theatrics. :smoker:

More like they would go out and smash all technology that wasn't a acoustic instrument. A luddite would be a person who said, Drum Machines don't have souls. Get rid of them. They are taking jobs away from drummers.

Right. It's always the guys with no confidence that challenge you in an open arena.

A Luddite would also say the same thing about a new process.... like sampling vs. traditional instrumentation.

Exactly. Instead of networking and connecting. You're challenging and burning bridges simply for your own EGO.

On a serious note though. I do love the MPC Live, it's a dream machine I use to think up in my head and when Petty Cash told me it was coming I almost didn't believe him. I thought he was playing with my musical soul LOL When I saw the specs, the money was already in a clip ready to be spent LOL I think I tinkled in my pants too LOL WTF! LOL

I work so fast on that thing now and it saves me so much time, I just stayed on 2.2.1 and the software too. I thought and said I would never use the SW, I lied LOL I kinda like that SW cause I can do entire tracks there on my laptop. Some times I do melodies in the SW and export them so I can bring it all in Reason. To be honest I just be having so much fun with this thing. I thank Tutor for his tutorial too. We are fortunate to have these machines but they still need to be upgraded with the firmware and SW to make them better. I hope everyone can enjoy their machines, whichever one they have.

I'm starting to wonder if you make any music at all, with all this long-winded pontificating!
