Record samples on 2000, take floppy, and put in Akai s20?

Will the akai s20 read samples that were recorded to floppy on a MPC 2000?

no, the s20 will not read floppy disks from the mpc 2000 .. it will say the disk is not formatted. I believe the 2000 will read disks from the s20 though. The S20 will however read disks from the s900.
