The problem is on the X the standalone and DAW integration are separate things? I think they should have fully integrated them. Like your DAW soundsets show up with hardware soundsets when in DAW mode. AFAIK it does not work standalone when in host mode? If that were the case I would probably fully embrace it. For me it is a waste because I cannot use sequencer and sounds when connected to DAW. TBH I have not used it much so I do not know. Correct me if I am wrong please. This Force looks more up my alley. Mostly use Ableton anyways. Ableton is not really a loop sequencer as you know. It is a full blown sequencer but I like it better than pattern sequencers. I mainly use Pro Tools to master since in that respect it offers more IMO. The Force looks like a better Push and the price is fair IMO. I just cannot get around the price of the X. I kick myself for buying it now. Especially that I have not even really been motivated to use it. If I must buy something right now I wonder if I should get Push or Maschine? I guess depends on my workflow. I will try both. For all I know the X is better. The Touch probably not so much. You get the bigger tilt screen, Q-links ETC.

oh shit I'm in category 2!.
