I don’t see any jumper setting pins on it.
Did it come with instructions?
Does it need 5VDC or 12VDC to power it up? Or both voltages?

Standard floppy ribbon is 34 pins.

Standard IDE ribbon is 40.

This is not a floppy cable, has nothing to do with your floppy.

Also, use SETUP on 2kxl to change startup to ATAPI (for ide devices).

Years ago I also took out my 2kxl floppy, replaced with atapi/ide multi card reader, then changed startup to ATAPI.

I fixed your link for you.

I cut and soldered one of these for my IDE/ATAPI card reader. Red is 5v, don’t use yellow 12v. Your device uses 5v the website days.

Try the big connector on your sd board. Red/black only. When you splice make sure you have the correct red going to the correct side. Check the round shape of the big connector and remember what side red is on.

Got an old pc laying around that you don't use, just cut the hdd wire.
The connectors are called molex connectors, google search “molex” and hit the “images” link.

If you were close by in San Diego, Cali I’d pass you one, I have many extra parts.

I fixed your link. I copied your old link, went to it, I clicked on your pic, looked below and there is a bbcode link, copy that and post that link.

I only kept the [IMG j xxxxxxxx[/IM G] part and deleted everything else. Just quote your own picture to see what I did.

So you have a choice to make.

1. 2kxl small molex -> Big molex. You’ll have to cut and create a wire.
I did and it worked for me and many other people.
It’s been documented in many threads here on the forums.

2. Keep searching for a complete uncut wire online.
