Did you format the SD card?
Did you use a name brand SD card? Try Kingston, SanDisk, Samsung those types...
Did you update the firmware on the SCSI2SD card reader?

You need to 'Format' the SD card on your MPC.
That should give you the choice of how many partitions you want to make.

Does your card register as a option in the 'save to device' field of your mpc?
I have a Mpc2000, Im not sure how much the controls differ between 2000's and Xl's.
You might have to change the 'device size' as wel, as 2g is a lot in MPC terms.

Let me know if you have any problems.
But try that and it should be ok.

I tried a 16 gb sdhc sandisk but the same thing ... i formated in the mpc and boom!! it works!! only SCSI-0 but with random megabytes parts (A-C 715mb, A-D 536..) but its ok i think... the only problem is now the card dont work on the computer ..

I use a 1gb Sandisk SD card.
16gb's is a bit much to expect a mpc2000xl to register.
After all, it's maximum memory capicity is 32mb's.

There is a limit to the size of scsi drive that will work with mcp2000's (I know your talking about a xl) but you will need to use the Scsi2Sd facility program to, first reduce the size of the sd card to one that is compatible with the Mpc.
Mine is about 900mb's.
Which is loads, 16g is ....well unesarry.
Are you powering the scsi2sd card via a usb cable in the front?
I have one working so, if I can give you any help I'd be glad to.

But I had to change the size of the sd card before it came up as a option in the save field.
Xl's have folders don't they?
So, once you get it to see it as a drive, it should be easy.
