Akai Force Forum: Everything relating to the Akai Force, the new 64 pad, clip-based standalone sampler/groovebox from Akai. While not an MPC, it shares many similar software features to the MPC X/MPC Live including the same underlying code-base.

Like, can I take a project I made in my MPC X and continue it in the Force?

There should be a basic level of crossover.
I still use the MPC1K, the FORCE should be able to open a basic .SEQ & .PGM ?
If not, it breaks the MPC legacy & competes more directly with Ableton.
I suspect Ableton users will NOT consider the FORCE but MPC users looking for a different workflow/capabilities will be the FORCE’s main market.

Quick side ?: is there a difference between a basic Ycable and a stereo headphone cable?
I am trying to sample from utube off my galaxy but keep getting noise on my MPC sample. Can anyone guess why the Ycable would have noise but my $60 headphones don’t.

Here is a sample of the cord

this will be possible once MPC 3 is out, as it brings 1:1 track relationship to the MPCs (1:1 track relationship is used by force but not MPC 2)
