I get more meticulous in the latter.

So your mixes from the MPC X, when transferred to the MPC Software in controller mode sound the same?
How about when you're tracking in real time out of the 8 analogue outs?

I have the Live; now that I think of it, I've never run anything out of its individual outs…
Most of the time I just run its main out to the input of my UAD Apollo, and when I want to touch the mix, I move into controller mode and at least between those two modes I haven't noticed any issues or differences.
Not that I have analyzed anything, but at least I haven't experienced any "Wow it sounds so different" moments…I've been truly happy with its sound.
TBH I think the new hybrid Akais have always sounded good to me…even the Ren sounded good, imho, and I was never unhappy with it.

I think they both have very usable sound, nothing that's incredible offensive. But they do have a different sound, is all I was get at. With the machines on their 3rd year, we'll see how well they hold up from the travel abuse, battery, pad mashing, the heating and cooling of the boards and how it effects the solder joints, the screens, qlink knobs, transport buttons, dial and so on.

It's a good sign that this mod is available, because they spent the time to put it together. What would be up my alley, is if Akai Pro and Black Lion did a limited edition run. This mod is almost that, except for additional i/o and Dante of coarse.

Ah come on man, 800 dollars for what?
Mpc X and Live both sound absolutely good, what's that for?
With 800 dollars you can get a good mixer with good preamps and your X will sound like a beast.
It makes much more sense.

I went away from the MPC (MPC2500) because I didn't like the sound. These new MPC's brought me back because of the clear sound..
(And all of the other goodies of course)

Can't post a definitive opinion, until I hear a real world A/B. Soon you'll be able to grab and MPC X for under $1000  So with the Mod it's still $1700. You can find them for $1200 now on the used market.

Yeah sure but again, why losing 800 dollars for a device that's already sounding good?
I paid 300 euros for a used Mackie mixer that has decent preamps, I connect my Live at maximum volume to the mixer and raise the preamp a bit to obtain a very satisfactory sound.
I guess with 800 dollars I can get a top quality mixer and obtain a even more satisfactory sound.
So I think this mod is a silly idea, near to a fraud.

Will this mod reduce latency in standalone? Both on the pads and audio?
I would love for my mpc x to have as little latency as my mpc 2000xl.

And how would they do that? They're not the Akai developers.

Not hating but this makes no sense I can see if there doing it for the MPC2000 or 3000 but then again why?

They wrote this "– Improving the performance of the analog stage circuits makes a drastic difference for tracking and mixing (expect amazing micro-dynamics and space)!
– New internal, ultra-low-jitter, XB word clock with proprietary implementation"

Thats why im wondering

The answer is "no", as none of that has anything to do with the MPC's latency.

I can't make an informed opinion until I hear it, until then I can't say if it's good or bad. I'm always in favor of any mod, that will lower the noise floor.

Hi.

Someone found inputs/outputs pins/holes on One PCB?
Analog 4 has possibility to VERY easy MOD. 4 holes for individual outs are on PCB.

One should have the same for ins and outs. It's not locked in OS.
