Exchange tips and tricks for the Akai MPC4000

Hi Folks

Ive the following setup

Keystep Midi Controller > MPC4000 > Waldorf Blofeld

Ive looked at the manual and it seems a bit sketchy regarding midi. My MPC can receive midi data from the Keystep and i can use the keyboard to play samples assigned to a pad on the MPC. I can also use the MPC to play notes on the Blofeld. However, I would like to be able to use the keystep controller to play notes on the Blofeld via the MPC. Sort of using the MPC as a midi through. Is this possible? Im sure I could do this on the MPC1000.

Many thanks
Neil

thats entirely possible
you can even output to 2 different ch/OUTS @ once
you only MIDI through the current track though
just make sure you set the OUT port
and set the IN (track) to something different than internal/PART
