Decided to revise that tune and add some little drum fills and variations.
It's free to download.
Also, if anyone has any constructive criticism that is always welcome and often helpfull.
Specifically structure/arrangment and mixdown are things I'm often unsure about.
I could have made this louder but, didn't want to go mental with the volume.

Great track - really enjoyed listening to it. Care to break down your process?

'Solidsilver'
I tracked all the parts into Reaper seperately, that's the only Daw thats midi time code sync works for me and my Mpc2000.
Once I had all the stems tracked out I used Cubase to arange it and shuffled the parts around.
Realy not more to it in that regard.
I used Cool Edit Pro for the limitter and bassicaly made it as loud as possible without peaking.
Pretty basic low tech stuff, but I think a limiter or compressor is quite important for house and techno.
Other than that, its all samples and they have allready been processed anyway and just need a push to saturate them.

Im no expert, anything sampled at 16bit or lower just sounds better to me.
Heres a work in progress.

Thanks - interesting process. So to clarify, are you using effects to process sounds in your DAW? In your most recent demo there sounds to be some complex processing.

Some more progress on the above beat.
Not sure if it still fits into the topic of Mpc2000's as its all been tracked out as seperate auido files and I'm using cubase to mix and clumsily arange it.
Plus, a lot of it has been resampled with vst effects and generally meddeled with.
I'm trying to get fluent at side chain compression.. bit mesy but its loud : ) Im geting there.
